Your body is truly amazing. Regardless of what you think of it (and loving it is the right response, regardless of size!), your body is a very impressive machine. It can do lots of incredible stuff.
It knows a lot of important things, too. It is very wise! Wiser than you realize.
But are you listening to it? We’re so used to listening to the cacophony that our brain produces that we often can’t hear our bodies’ messages over that din.
But I want you to learn how to listen to your body. Because that’s the secret to being a healthy weight without dieting or depriving yourself of the foods you love.
I will never tell you to do anything to lose weight that requires you to ignore your body’s signals.
Especially your body’s hunger and fullness signals.
Diets, on the other hand, don’t care about your body’s signals. Those very wise signals that know how much and what you need to eat don’t figure into the diet equation. Because diets have been getting a lot of bad press, the diet industry now wants to fool you into thinking their diets aren’t really diets.
