Does your brain make lots of excuses for you to eat when you aren’t hungry? Excuses like, “I had a hard day and deserve this” or “I’ve been so good all day”?

If you’re an emotional eater or anyone who eats when they aren’t hungry, your brain has no trouble finding plenty of reasons for you to do this.

Yet as long as you keep eating when you aren’t hungry instead of dealing with your emotions in a healthy way, you won’t reach your weight loss goals and keep the weight off.

We might not be able to control 99.9% of what goes on in the world, but we can control our thoughts. It isn’t always easy, but with practice, it gets easier.

Being able to control your own thinking is a true gift that will help you not only lose weight, but be happier and better able to deal with all of those difficult things in life you can’t change.

As the Buddha said, “What you think you become.”

So if you want to lose weight, feel better and be healthier, the next time your brain starts telling you a bunch of lame excuses for eating when you aren’t hungry, the best way to avoid doing that is to notice your thoughts and change them.

Unlike those lame excuses, these new thoughts are true or can become true for you.
